Marketing Fundamentals students presented innovative projects in final semester contest

Ganadores del reto

As part of the academic activities of the Marketing Fundamentals course, students from the Business Administration, Tourism, and Product Design programs developed innovative product and service proposals for the Ecuadorian market, as part of the course's final project.

During the process, the teams analyzed the market environment, defined their target audience, designed their marketing mix, and conducted a focus group to test and improve their proposals before the final presentation.

After evaluating the projects, the best team from each of the three course sections was selected. On Wednesday, September 2, the finalist teams presented their projects to a panel of judges, who chose the best proposal of the semester.

Finalist projects

  • Kefi-Fresh: a dessert made with kefir and natural fruits, combining flavor, freshness, and nutritional benefits, offering a practical option rich in probiotics.
  • Kawsay Textiles: a line of everyday hoodies and faux leather jackets, designed to offer protection against weapon attacks, combining safety, function, and style.
  • Tutay Ñam: a paranormal tourism experience in Baños, based on local legends and stories, that combines culture, entertainment, and excitement in an interactive tourism proposal.

A winning project with Ecuadorian identity

The winning team was Tutay Ñam, made up of students Valeska Cruz, Britany Carreño, José Andrés Lema, Dannahe Mendoza, and Doménica Sánchez, who stood out to the judges for the originality of their idea and their ability to connect tourism with Ecuadorian cultural identity.

This type of contest is part of the hands-on teaching approach used by FCSH, where students apply what they learn in class to challenges that reflect real business situations. Activities like this test the creativity, strategic thinking, and teamwork skills of future professionals, helping them prepare to face the challenges of the Ecuadorian market with confidence.
